I know most people would only know them from their "IV" album, with hits like "Africa" and "Rosanna". However, if you follow their career, it's been an amazing run of 30 years.

That's funny. I confuse the two all the time.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Sadly when i was attending a colledge in Kentucky Toto was booked to play there, arrived in town and refused to play the gig since they did not think the theatre was large enough for them to make enough money. The theatre was completeely sold out and they just left. Kind of left a bad taste:(

Did you really miss that much? F them.

It reminds me of a concert in Hershey, PA. Spin Doctors, Screaming Trees and Soul Asylum. Dave Pirner(Soul Asylum) ended the set and walked off because he felt that the crowd wasn't motivated enough and standing during his set. He came out onstage and berated us.....Hmmm....I was on acid, so who cares but that's lame and there was a pile of Soul Asylum CD's in the parking lot after that concert.

Screaming Trees RULED that event and put on a HELLUVA show....The Spin Doctors weren't too shabby either.

Heard a song from them on the radio about three weeks ago. Using shazam I taged it and today bought the album with the song "Africa" on it. So far I love the different sound they have and the instruments they use.

Which Toto album did you buy? If you enjoy "Africa", you may enjoy reading about how it was recorded.

I know most people don't like Toto. However, I really enjoy listening to their album. Steve Lukather and the late Jeff Porcaro are amazing musicians....not that the other guys aren't good either. Btw, since the original post, Toto has regrouped to play selected shows in Europe.

Toto's debut album and subsequent releases up to and including "IV" are great records. I kinda lost interest when they took the edge off and went all sappy. Great freaking musicians though. I still listen to their first album often.

Okay ..... you slipped one by me there, dragon, 3 YEARS AGO.

I should monitor your posts more closely from now on, but I guess I'll leave you a-Sloan.

    gawd that was bad

Never much cared for Toto. Pretty talented group, but they always reminded me too much of the Austrailian-whine-rock-semi-hair-bands of the 80's.

Toto sucks and always has....fits the saying "It doesn't have to be good to be a classic"...
