Im still in the learning stages on my SDA2Bs and would now like some insight on the difference between the 6503 and 6511 drivers.I know one is stereo and the other dimensional but what is the tech difference?I noticed that older models used the same drivers not two different ones.Im going to replace 3 of mine with new ones because the left speaker has a almost new stereo driver and well,it just looks better.(no visible wires). And its tighter than all the rest and my left channel sounds better than the right. The right mids are very worn.Dented caps and flimsey.

The drivers are built exactly the same. Only the resistance of the voice coil is different. (to match what the crossover needs).

Not true exactly. There are other differences in the later generations of SDA drivers. For instance the SDA 1C's use edge wound voice coils in the drivers similar to the SRS drivers of the same generation. 1B's didn't have the latest generation driver even though the electrical characteristics might have been similar

Polk states the different properties of each driver type is proprietary and they don't give that info out. Raife tried to include in the compendium but the info wasn't available.

Certainly the biggest difference is what Madmax suggests but there were other "construction" differences as improvements were made to the SDA line.
