i've got a set of rti12's in a 2.0 setup right now.
want to get to a 4.0 setup.
would you recommend the fxia6 or the rtia3?
the surrounds will be mounted on stands behind a couch.
i'm leaning towards the rtia3 thinking that if i decide to use the speakers somewhere else (like for front mains in an bedroom setup), that they're a better stand alone speaker than the fxia6.
plus, the rtia3's are cheaper than the fxia6.
is there any reason to choose the fxia6 over the rtia3?

The FXi A6 is designed to be a surround speaker. It uses Bipole/Dipole to give a better surround effects. I have the RTi A3 and I’ve never had a problem using them as surround speakers but using the FXi A6 would sound better. If you want to use them as stand alones one day then I would suggest going with the RTi A3. It will give you more flexibility in the future.7.1 HOME THEATER:
