They got the trouble makers

I had a XM receiver stolen out of my truck the other month.
It took me about 2 seconds to see the culprits. The kid accross the street
with all his hoodlum buddies. No proof, but it was a no brainer.
I see in the local paper today the kid(19) and two of his buddies just got
caught breaking into a house. I guess things will be quiet around here now.
Will I ever see the XM receiver again? I don't care. I am very happy to see
trouble heading off to jail. There was a time my son used to hang with the kid.
He stopped that about five years ago. About the same time the kid started going bad.
Thank god both my boys were smart enough to cut ties with trouble makers.

Buy a shotgun and wire your truck with door-switched C-4.

I don't know how things work in Texas, but I rather doubt that your young neighbors will be doing any jail time over a little ol' house breakin unless there were guns involved. Maybe a year of probation and some stink eye from a judge. Damn shame.

I must comment that I think Steve is overreacting just a bit with the shotgun and C-4; me, I'd just cut their hands off and call it a day. That C-4 could damage your hearing.

From the sounds of it, you and your wife are a great start to a family. Be proud.

That's an excellent point and not something to be taken lightly.

You can probably get a warrant served to find your receiver even with the circumstantial evidence. In fact the DA might be able to get the parents to consent without a warrant if they are trying to get their no kids out of hot water.
