i'm a noob with ht stuff and i was wondering what it means in the specs of amps, so many watts bridged.
reciever-Yamaha rxv1700
front-RM50t
center-RM30
surrounds-M40
rear surrounds-RM30
velodyne minivee
playstation 3

    Here's the techinical information from Wikipedia - Bridged Amplifier

    He is a simplified example:
    If you have a 2 ch amp that can be bridged, it turns it into a mono amp and doubles the power. Basically taking the power from both channels that is available, and putting it into one channel.
