Bi-Amping LSi15's w/ LPA-1

I just ordered an LPA-1 today and wanted to know if I need an external cross-over if I want to Bi-Amp my LSi15's? The owner's manual makes it seem like I need to divide the frequencies before it hits the speaker.

Does removing the jumper between the binding posts simply separate the hi & low frequency crossover channels into 2 separate paths?
Mains: Polk LSi15
Pre/Pro: Yamaha RX-V663
Amplifier: Emotiva LPA-1
Subwoofer: KLH ASW8-120b

No, you don't need an external crossover.

    Yes.

Don't concern yourself with bi-amping right now. The LPA-1 will drive the hell out of the Lsi15's without bi-amping.
