Bi-Amping LSi15's w/ LPA-1

I just ordered an LPA-1 today and wanted to know if I need an external cross-over if I want to Bi-Amp my LSi15's? The owner's manual makes it seem like I need to divide the frequencies before it hits the speaker.
Does removing the jumper between the binding posts simply separate the hi & low frequency crossover channels into 2 separate paths?

No, you don't need an external crossover.Does removing the jumper between the binding posts simply separate the hi & low frequency crossover channels into 2 separate paths?
Yes.
Don't concern yourself with bi-amping right now. The LPA-1 will drive the hell out of the Lsi15's without bi-amping.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub
