Are the RTA 11T's actually 94db?
I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D

I did not think they were that efficient. 90 db sound more inline. The vintage pictures of the RTA 11t's around a pool list the sensitivity of 94.

Next Question.
Are the plastic tweeter/mid bass deflectors that are found on the TL versions still available and would it be worth it to add to the pedestrian "T" model?

I don't know that they actually ever did anything. I never seen them on any other speakers. Too improve the sound you could do the TL upgrade to the XO(if it is the very early model), and swap in RDO198's.

I believe it was put there to deflect the sound waves from the mid bass driver from the tweeter so there was better diffraction/dispersion of the tweeter sound waves. And in turn the maintaining the qualities of a TM vs MTM design. I could be wrong but it makes some sense to me.

I just sold a pair of original RTA-11t and they came with the original owner's manual. The spec in the manual did say 94dB, just like what is listed at Polksda.com.

Interesting topic. We were recently playing with a mint pair of 11T's on a 15 watt SET Tupe amp looking to answer the same question.
Armed with a decibel meter and a fair bit of patience we concluded that 94db was a very optimistic number. (having observed the same Polk by the Pool ad for the 11T) we concluded that 90-92 was more the range; and even 92 is on the optimistic side. Mind you definitely in the very low 90’s, that much we could guarantee.
