Bad experience at CC

I stopped at CC last night to pick up an SACD. I found the one I wanted and took it to the checkout counter. One salesman had just picked up some CD's off the counter and went to put them up. He saw me sit the package on the counter and walked away. I figure that's fine and went ahead and scanned the DVD's on a counter near by and after a few minutes I saw him heading back to the counter. At this point I had my credit card in one hand and the SACD in the other. He walked up and picked up some more stock and headed off. I'm getting a little annoyed by this time. I notice that there are 5 people putting up stock and no one at any of the registers. Only one or two other customers in the store looking around on the other side. After about 5 more minutes I'm thinking this is pretty sad that no one wants to ring up a single item. I could have gone to find the manager but I was looking for something a little more creative.
I came up with the following possibilities:
*start loading up the counter with cd's faster than they were stocking them.
*open up all the electronics packages around the counter until someone came over.
*walk through the theft system with the SACD in hand.
*go find the manager and throw a fit
*try to ring it up myself
*turn off all of their registers
*unhook the cables going to the counter.
*pee on the counter.
*leave quietly before I got into trouble and complain via e-mail to the main company headquarters and hopfully get them all in trouble.
I chose the last one after about 10 minutes. What would you guys have done?

If you bought the CD, here's what you do:
At the bottom of the receipt, is a letter code that corresponds to a survey at bizrate.com. Follow the instructions on the reciept, and fill out the comment form at the end of the survey.
If you know the name of the person, PUT IT IN THE SURVEY.
All of the surveys go to the corporate office, the store's District Manager, and the Store Manager. If the person gets 2 or 3 bad surveys, they will probably get fired.
When I was still working there, I saw 4 people get fired for bad customer service because of those surveys.

I was pretty annoyed at the time. As a matter of fact I did see two identical DB-9 connectors laying across the counter that went to their registers and was going to cross them but the screws were too tight to get loose by hand. That could cause a little hassle. Actually, I should have asked one of them if I could borrow a screwdriver and they would have never known the difference.
The real pisser is that normally when you walk in you have 10 people in line waiting to ask if they can help you. Not that they would. When you do ask them something they say it is probably in the manual and walk away.
I think I've got the answer though. Next time I walk in and someone asks me if I need help I'm going to tell them "Yes, I need you to follow me around and keep the rest of these bozo's from asking me if I need any help". That should scare them away.

i've bought two things from cc, a cd and a jvc shelf system. the same dude checked them both out, the jvc was purchased in november of 2001. the cd was purchased september of 2002. THe same dude checked it out, it took him 30 minutes to check out my cd, and 50 minutes to check out the stereo...i swear the **** was stupid and dumb as a box of rocks!Damn you all, damn you all to hell.......
