Hmmm, where was that thread where we were talking about how many of us have bought SDA's off people whose wives made them get rid of them....
So you going to get a nice Bose surround setup now???:eek:Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance. -
well, i sold the SDA-1Bs... buyer loves them, he said it sounds great. better than what it was at my home since placement at my home was very bad, one speaker jammed in the corner and the other standing in the open...
boo hoo...

well, unbelievably... homes in Hawaii do not have basements or attics... the roofs are nearly flat, with only a 2-3 ft tall attic and basements are non-existent...
but I do have this....
the projector was replaced by a JVC RS-1, the subs running are a pair of Polk PSW650s augmented with a Carver Sunfire sub... An Onkyo TX-NR905 drives the speakers, fed by a PS3 and a Denon DVD-3930CI. the LSi15s are used to listen to music, powered by a Sony TA-F808ES MOS-FET amp and a Sony CDP-779ES CD player.... the theater has a bunch of RT55is for the front and smaller Polks for the surrounds... -
jon s, Great setup you have there. What size screen?
Congrats,

Stewart Filmscreen StudioTek 1.3 microperfed 100"x54" screen. The center channel speaker is behind the screen. The left and right speakers are in the front wall next to the screen. Those are Polk RT55is...
The Carver sub is along the front wall a little off center, one POok 650 is on a side wall and the other 650 is on the rear wall, this way it cancels any dead zones...
The room used to be colored tan with teal accents, but I discovered that colors play a BIG role in HT. The light colors diminished the contrast and the picture lacked punch. Also, if your room is colored red, for example, the image would have a reddish hue to it. I ended up painting the front wall flat black and the rest of the room with neutral shades of gray. Looks like crap, it's as dark as a dungeon. I have 600 watts of lights and the room still is dark. But the screen image is to die for. Ideally, the room should be all black, but that would be too dismal for me.
