I will be looking to snag one of the 990's in a couple years for my bedroom. Looks like an awesome piece of equipment. If it's an upgrade from my HK3480 (appears to be a huge upgrade), and it sells for way below retail like other HK receivers, I'm all over it.Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand
Bedroom: Samsung HPR-4252, Toshiba HD-A2, HK 3480, Signal Cable, AQ speaker cable, Totem Dreamcatchers, SVS PB10-NSD, URC MX-850 -

The 990 is balanced. Wow, nice. Takes USB input as well, which is nice for computer-audio folks. Good to see a mainstream manufacturer with a renewed push in 2-channel!Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

That link is for the 3490 model, a step down from the big 990 model discussed above. The 3490 is basically the same as last year's 3480For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore... -
Why do I think the integrated amp, tuner, and the dedicated CD player will not be marketed in the US?
