Monitor 7A questions

I picked up a pair of Monitor 7's (pretty sure they're 7A's) last week and don't know what fuses they use. One was missing, one was a 2amp fast and the other two were 1amp fuses (2 per terminal cup). Anyone know the correct fuse?

Also, I'm so lost in the tweeter identification. These are peerless? Black dome, black flat plate. They're definitely not as edgy as the SL1000's in my second pair of monitor 7's. I searched the forums and am still not 100% sure.

The pair may be up for sale fairly soon as I'm very quickly running out of space in this tiny room.

If they look identical to the one pictured, they're peerless.

They look exactly the same as pictured. Both PR and mid are not recessed at all and have the cardboard ring around the surround. Grilles also clip on with the plastic velcro-like circles (PITA) with full length grilles and logo attached to the cloth. Looks like they're 7A's w/ peerless! They're the coveted ones, right? :p

Cool. Thanks for the three minute reply ;)

edit- just noticed that my PR's have eight mounting holes but only the four as pictured are used. Weird.

Sounds just per-zackly like my 7As. Do you have one fuse or two on the back plate?

Yes! The above pictured is exactly like the new pair I snatched. Two fuses per speaker. They're pretty hideous in comparison to my other monitor 7's without the grilles ;)

Any word on what fuses to use? They're still camped out in my closet for now.

On the tweeter use a fast blow 1 amp. For the woofer you can use 5amp, or better. The woofer will be fine. Your ears will let you know if you are pushing them too hard. Most (almost all) woofers are unprotected.

It just so happens I bought a 3 pack of 5A fasts for the one that tripped on my amp. Two left, and I already have two 1A's on the speakers themselves. Cool, thanks

I'm not super concerned since I never push speakers that hard and it's quite obvious when they are hitting or close to hitting that point, but I just wanted to make sure everything is proper.
