Would all MFSL vinyl be of the 180 gm or 200 gm pressings?

Thanks,

Not all of it, but the heavier pressings are better.

Where would it be stated on the album? I am thinking of purchasing an album off of Audiogon and when I asked how many gm's it was he didn't know where to look.

    Thanks,
Mike (yes, vinyl idiot here..hey I am just too young to know:))

    Hey Phil,

I don't have any gear to play the vinyl on but if I see something that I like in terms of music I would like to grab it while it is available. I have just recently discovered the MFSL label on cd (please don't laugh) and it so much better. I plan on having a vinyl setup in the future and would like to pick up a few pieces to play first.

    Thanks,
    Mike

Laugh, not at all. I've got a few myself & they definetely sound better. Mobile Fidelity is one of the better one's for sure.

I think all new MFSL recordings are at least 180G virgin vinyl. Not sure about vintage. Check their website www.mofi.com and they have an archive catalog that lists all of their recordings. Should have vinyl weights too I would imagine.
