Hello all -
Does anyone know of any media players/car receivers out there?
I know that i can hook up my potable media player to my head unit, but I have not seen any head units that actually store media files ( i.e. mp3, mp4, wma, wmal, flac, ogg). I guess some Clarion's can play via SDcards, but I do not think Clarion supports lossless formats like FLAC.
Kenwood use to have the Music KEGs that used Phatnoise software, but those are discontinued. Too bad, b/c Phatnoise supports FLAC files.
One would think that this type of car receiver would be the future, especially if it supported lossless compression like FLAC. Hell......Wouldn't it be nice to have 10 Gigs of lossless audio playing through your car receiver's DAC's as opposed to a portable media player's DAC's?
Maybe it's here, but I have not seen any.
Any help would be appreciated.

Have 4 media receivers to choose from. All seem very good and I'm currently in process of buying one. They handle Mp3, AAC and Wma as well as the iPod which they were originally conceived for.
Good luck!
