    My tweeters randomly go out of phase too, maybe time to upgrade to the new technology?

    I swear I've seen those seat covers at either Canadian Tire or Princess Auto...

    I did the home audio into a car thing but it looked a hell of a lot better than that -> battery powered sonic t-amp in custom enclosure disguised as a box of lipton soup and the rest of the setup you couldn't even see (no wires, no speakers to be seen). Still sounded pretty terrible though.

    Im ashamed to be a car audio nut. That is not only the worst, most ghetto install Ive ever seen in my life but this dweeb actually thinks he's got something special there!!

    I mean there is just no excuse for that at all. It wouldnt be so bad if the guy 'fessed up and said "hey, Im broke and cant afford new car audio gear - I had all this stuff laying around and I had an afternoon to kill", I could understand that. But to throw that garbage of an install up on a forum and actually talk like its the best thing on earth "it sound so good itll make you cry" is just too much.

    I cant wait to post this on the MECA forum so all my fellow competitors can see what we've been doing wrong all these years. And to think, I just spent 2 hours sitting in my car trying to dial in the time alignment between my tweeters and mids. All I had to do was throw some Logitech speakers in the back seat with turbo quality subs and Id wouldve been fine.

    Yeah that is just the thing, the guy claimed to have specifically bought the speakers for that setup. Every mobile audio enthusiast knows the first place to go for gear is Office Max. hahaha

    I've worked on worse before. I wish I had my current phone when we worked on the car I'm talking about so I couldve taken good pictures. I am not kidding you, it made that system look competition worthy.

    Its not so much the ghetto install, its the dude claiming its the best sounding system in the world that kills me. "Sounds so good itll make you cry" - "sounds 10000X better than door speakers cause theyre up higher" and so on. This guy doesnt have a CLUE what he's talking about but is talking like he's a seasoned pro. Thats the kind of guys that piss me off.

    Still got you beat here. This guy thought he had the best system ever. We put in a remote start system on it and he didnt want it to have the parking lights because it was his 'stealth project car.' Complete with grim reaper decals, spray painted blue factory wheels, and spray painted interior. If you remove the floor mats, the original gray was still there...

    I agree, that is what bothers me the most. He claims that if people there knew anything about computers or home theater they would think otherwise. To be honest any joe schmo can immediately tell that thing is utter shite.

    There are tons of ghetto installs on various forums over the net, but I usually dont rag on them because Ive thrown together my fair share of crap installs but his "Im a super master car audio genius" attitude is what sets it apart and then all the great one liners and slams he's getting from the other forum members is what makes this one priceless and possibly the best "ghetto install" thread ever!!

    Read the posts from the other members. Im laughing my **** off over here reading them!! Some of these guys should write for Letterman! :D

    Oh and do yourself a favor and make sure you read far enough to get to the videos he's posted of his neons. This is too good!

    I'm actually kind of sad it got locked only 10 pages into it. Things were just warming up!

    Ricing cougars in the first place is pretty lame... They look like a bad mix of a tiburon and a celica. puke.gif That video of the silver & blue cougar had a pretty extensive install though. Would have liked to see the interior in some light.
