Alas can't refind the post...

I use the BT-77's with my RTI4s on the fronts and they are angled down:

Each of the side 'rails' of the mount which clamp/pinch together to hold the speaker have a hole in them to thread in a screw (which would then go into each side of the speaker) if you want extra assurance to hold the speakers in place.

However, I did not feel this was needed - and have tugged on the speakers after tightenting down the clamps - they are quite snug.

    ymmv,

They can be tightened down snugly with no issues but I used fishing line to secure mine to the mount. Another member used zipties with great success.

I had my previous RTi's mounted for over 4 years and they never needed to be re-tightened. YMMV.

I put a good quality velcro strips on the bottom of my speakers and the base of the mount. I wouldn't angle them too much with this method, but it does add a bit of assurance that the speaker is safe.

    Erik: Nice setup.

I'm trying to picture this -- how did run the fishing line ? what part of the speaker did you attach it to and how...

    All:
    What speakers did you use...
I'm currently planning on using for RTi 4's in my BR, but would love to do same with RTi6's (technically they're 1" deeper than specs - if you include power port ( but now that I have the mounts, I'm gonna see if this doable...

    Erik: nice pics

I tied the line around the two bottom posts of the Power Port, to the main crossbar that comes off the wall. It provides downward pressure onto the plate....in theory I guess.
