Merry Christmas all and thanks for another year of great posts, info and audio growth!
It's time to start those New Years resolutions!!!
*Next year I plan to sell off all those older purchases which are no longer helping me along.
*I'm heading towards all DVD-Audio, SACD and LP media puchases. CD's suck.
*I plan on learning about vibration devices and their effects on sound. (No, not vibrators and
such for obvious purposes)
*Time to learn how tubes work!
*Time to work on audio room asthetics.

Merry Christmas Max!!!
I'll be watching for the updates.
P.S. Just scored a mint copy of Mad Dogs and Englishmen by Joe Cocker for two bucks!! -
madmax001, i'm with you. I wish I could replace all my antiquated CD's for DVD-a. but that isn't going to happen any time soon. WHile it is encouraging that more and more titiles are being released all the time in multichannel audio.. we still have a long way to go.
YOu and I may be the only ones keeping this format alive... as most of my friends have never even heard of SACD or DVD-audio yet. And it's been around now for a few years. UGH! I guess that would be a good resoultion.. to educate people about multichannel audio.
My only other resolution for the year will be to work out and get in shape in the next 12 months. That probably means spending less time in here sitting on my azz. but it will be worth it.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?
Vancouver, Canada Sept 30th, 2012 - Madonna concert  -
Great score Paul, I assume they are LP's?
As for keeping the format alive I think there are a lot of us but like you, my friends had not heard about either format before I started enlightening them. Why are they not pushing it? It's almost as though they don't care if anyone catches on or not. I'm thinking it is a few manufacturers and several of the artists who are making it a go, not the usual mass marketing people. By next year everyone I know will be well educated. Although I'm a two channel guy at heart I'm interested in hearing some of the multichannel stuff too.

no more cigs. i have managed to be a very limited smoker for the last 15 or so years, after being a heavy smoker for about 12 yrs. but now i'm gonna try to not even smoke my usual pack a year.
stop worrying about gear so much--instead buy more & burn more music.Testing
