I say put a plush, comfortable couch smack in the middle. You need a 52" flat TV too.

    Thanks. I feel better now:D
It looks like you are preparing for a hurricane, but used foam instead of plywood:eek:

I understand, I too am easily confused sometimes. What it is, you stand on the ashtray that sits next to the round balls.

Just doing some remodeling on the room there guys. I thought it would be fun to take a pic & get some comments.

Next day off, fix it. Lot's of cool stuff in there, make it right.

That black stuff is acoustic foam that I am experimenting with. It's ugly, but it sure is a lot of fun!

Rock on. Experiment away. Find what works where. Maybe get some grill cloth and make some frames to make it a little more pleasing to the eye. I am more function than fit. A little concentration on the puter setup, and a good listening position for a properly placed 2 channel setup would do wonders.

I think a nice carpet would help way more than any of those acoustic treatments.

I'm not sure I like the carpet idea. The chair, computer cart & Nitty Gritty carts all have wheels. So does one of the stereo carts. I can move stuff around at will, and never have to get out of my chair to go from the fridge to the cd rack to the stereo, record cleaner, table or whatever. One side of the room to the other right from my chair. It's just too cool.

    What all do you have?

In addition to what you see in my sig below (the 2-channel stuff), there is another 2-channel setup consisting of a Technics SU-8600 amp, Yamaha DVD-S1500 and a device called a Jam-Along that allows for a guitar to be plugged into the system and mixed in with the source. This system is using a set of Infinity P162 speakers.

Acoustic treatment is good (I have a box in the my garage waiting for deployment) but it's not going to help much with that tile floor.
