Dyi Sub

I am looking for a few tips to complete a sub for my garage. I have two kicker C10's (8ohm SVC) sitting around and I really want to put them to use.
The most important issue I am trying to decide on is if I should use a plate amp (like a Dayton or Bash) to power these subs...or...if I should go with a stand alone amp and build a x-over for these subs.
Since they are SVC, I would be forced to use two plate amps, correct? If not, has anyone been able to run more than one 8ohm sub off of one of these?
Any help would be great.

For garage duty , I would use 1 plate amp....you can just parallel up those 8 ohm drivers for a 4 ohm load....every plate amp on the market should be able to handle a 4 ohm load ( Actually thats what most of them are designed for ) .The first rule of Fight Club is you don't talk about Fight Club

Make sure you go vented, if you can. -

Bump also on the first idea. 4 ohms would look good to the plate amp and vented would give you higher output. I would also build the box the largest they suggest for the two drivers since it will be in the garage.

Spam seems to have that over-weight effect. Is that what you were asking? -

Hmmm... I've only met a rare handful of girls who eat Spam, let alone like it. Although you really can't beat a grilled Spam sandwich.
