Saw it today and really liked it, much better then #2. It felt as if something was missing with Rachel not being in it and that was a bummer. Other then that, a fun, action popcorn movie with a few laughs. A blu buy for sure.

    Ugh... one word. Ugh.

This movie flat out sucked. A "B" movie if there ever was one. Except for Brendan and John Hannah, the rest of the cast couldn't act to save their careers. I flat out was bored out of my mind, and found myself checking my watch and pulse to see if I was really alive...

Absolutely zero chemistry between Brendan and the new girl, "Maria"... why did they even cast her? Wow. The plot was ok, and could have been believable for a Mummy flick, but I just couldn't get into this. Not worth the price of admission, but would probably rent it if I didn't know any better :)

Save your money folks. I don't care what Ron-P says, this one is terrible! :D

Curious, do you guys actually watch the movie trailers before spending money to go see a film? My guess, you must not because the trailers spell out exactly what the movie is going to be like.

Does a downloaded movie not look terrible on a 93'' screen?

No, no they don't. ESPECIALLY in this case, not at all. This movie was waaaaaaaayyy worse than the trailer let on.

I don't even know where to start with this movie, truly a bad movie. I almost got up and walked out of the theater when the stupid yetti thing did the whole "It's good" field goal gesture thing. That was completely unnecessary, and was only a distraction. And then at the end when they literally SPELLED OUT "Soon after, mummies were found in Peru"...

There was absolutely NOTHING in the previews that could have prepared me for those two moments, nothing.

While I agree that everyone has their own opinion and taste in movies, why do you continually have to bash other's on here? Anyone who watches movies, knows that trailers are solely created to highlight the best aspects of a movie and appeal to their audiences. I find it insulting that because someone doesn't agree with you in that a movie is entertaining, you practically call them stupid.

I am a huge fan of the first two Mummy's and own both. However, this third attempt is crap. I didn't even find it entertaining as the acting was so terrible and they ruined the sparky relationship between husband and wife by bringing on a stupid lady that not only couldn't act, she was on the uglier side for me.

Anyways, if you are a fan of the first two, you probably won't like this one, as it was a complete let down for me.

Of course, to each his own. :D

How my post above is considered bashing is beyond me, just and observation on my part, that's all. Trailers do spell out what a movie is going to be like and the trailers for this film nailed it.

Also, please find all the other posts where I'm continually bashing other's, I'd really like to see them all, as you stated, something that I continually do. Thanks.

No hard feelings man... been a bad week... er... month, scratch that... year.

I am sure I was overreacting. Everyone is entitled to their own movie tastes! And the right to proclaim that their taste is the best out there :)

    Carry on.

so, what's the consensus? worth owning on BD? I have the first two, if Brandon is as funny as in the first two, in itself, I think it's worth to own. But, if there is much dissent, I'll go with rental first.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Watched the Blu disc last night, 5 stars for the audio and video, fantastic presentation. The family and I all enjoyed it sans my 11 year old daughter who loved it.

RENT BEFORE YOU BUY, no where near as good as the first two, not even close.

This seems to be a standard answer around here for a lot of sequels (Terminator 3, Spiderman 3, Indy 4, Die Hard 4, etc).

Yep, no since spending $15- $25 on a movie that you 'll only watch once and be left saying ''I can't believe I spent my hard earned money to own this movie'' after its over, although we've all done it. BTW Die Hard 4 or Live or Die Hard was an awesome movie.

I would think so also. I tried Netflix where you stream via Xbox and on my 126" it was terrible so I canceled the subscription. I'd rather just buy my titles on blu and take advantage of the technology I bought.
