Two weeks ahead of schedule threw us for a bit of a spin, but what an amazing little boy...

Aiden Daniel was born May 18 at 5:25am after a very long night. 7lbs, 11oz, and 19.5 inches. Perfectly healthy, and such a content little guy.

I do want to thank those of you who have been supportive of this event from the get-go. The tips, books, and good wishes were and are all very much appreciated. You know who you are. :)

    Ben,
I'm gonna be honest, the episiotomy got the best of me. Once the head came through, I was not in very good shape. So no cutting for me, but I wanted to!

Stunning. Both mom and baby. You, not so much, but I'll let it slide.

Happy times, I don't expect to see you on the boards for at least a month.

    Cheers,
    Russ

I know that feeling. I was always the one to gut the deer. I have seen my tendons severed, bones exposed, and some pretty deep cuts. I thought I was going to go down at one point when the baby was coming;)

Congratulations on your great looking son !
    10 fingers, 10 toes, it's ALL good. :)

I've always been amazed by the fact that women are willing to have more than one kid 'cause that HAS to hurt.

Haha to funny. Same here I work in a trauma hospital. I have literally seen heads blown off, guts pouring out of people, you name it, I have seen it literally.

Everytime they broke out the needle to give my wife the epidural I got weak kneed and my wife had to hold me up on one occasion.:(

    Ben

Or, in my case, the first 12 months! My son has never been a good sleeper! At 18 months, he is finally sleeping consistently 9-10 straight hours, but up until a few months ago, that was always hit or miss.

    Congrats Dane,
Hopefully you have a good sleeper.

And yes, get used to keeping the system at barely audible levels.
