I can't afford if right now, but I'd like to save up for it sometime in the future since I don't trust the Denon AVC700 I have right now. The plan would be to replace the old Denon with the LMC-1 from my downstairs system and use the MMC-1 in it's place.
Of course all this will depend on the final price tag to repair the blown up 3.1 TL and the blown up amplifier. A couple of Polkies came through with replacement drivers and tweeter for the 3.1 TL so the financial hit will be less (thankfully).
Man don't you just hate it when *hit blows up and you gotta spend needlessly...it's like getting a speeding or parking ticket...total waste of good money.

I was reading up on the specs for the Emotiva MMC-1 and saw something I haven't seen before....a "side-axis" output. They are for speakers that go on the wall between your main speakers and the side surrounds. This is how Emotiva phrases it
"Did we tell you about Side-Axis? These two additional channels are matrixed and derived from the front left and right channels so they are available in stereo as well as surround modes. You place the speakers between your main and surround speakers along the side walls. When engaged, the side axis feature delivers an amazingly large soundstage that you must hear to believe."
Does anybody here have or use this feature on their systems?
