There's one for sale locally...just curious what they're worth. He says he's the original owner & the amp is mint. Pictures look great. I just ckecked on ebay & they're going for $1K>. Any opinions?

Man, this thread is from May of last year, I'm surprised you found it. Anyway, the owner was asking $500. The amp was in "ultra" & I mean ultra mint condition. He was the original owner w/ manual & box. It was so friggin gorgeous that I had to have it. We took a ride back to my place & hooked it up. This baby sang like it was just off the shelf.
With cash in hand (a great bargaining tool) & the owner in need of some of it, a deal was struck for quite a bit less. He was happy & I was estatic. At the time of purchase I had a Krell Kav250a amp which was fantastic. After a few weeks of A/B listening between the two, I preferred the Nikko & sold the Krell. The Nikko has plenty of balls (dual 300w mono design). It is very warm, musical & has a very seductive sound to it that I really like.
