Sigh. 2nd tv set I ever owned just went belly up. About a month ago,
the Mrs. had me moving furniture. My 27" Toshiba suddenly got a vertically
challeged. Top got too tall, bottom black line. And it has gotton worse all month.
I pulled the back off to check it out. Not an adjustment, no broken
solder joints. I can't find my sam's photofacts for it. I'm gonna let it go
out gracefully. It's old enough to vote. Almost old enough to drink.
If I could find the schematic, I might of given it a shot. It's been in the bedroom
for a couple of years. I don't think any new tv is ever gonna last that long.

You're being sentimental. Just toss that piece of crap in the trash and replace it with a 42" flat screen.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

Not sentimental. Cheap. I really don't want/need another set. The Mrs.
has other plans. I have a 42" downstairs. I seldom watch it.
There's a 32" tube type down there she wants to move up, and put
a 32" flat in the front room. Son #1 has a 32" that was replaced by
a big honker. She was trying to work up a deal with him. Son #2 is only
home on weekends, which is why she wants two sets downstairs.
I'm more of an audio kind of guy."The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg." --Thomas Jefferson -
Well, it's a done deal. I traded my Studio 60's to son #1 for his 32" LG.
Wife's happy. Son's happy.
And Early B.'s a Polk guru. So I guess everyone is set!"The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg." --Thomas Jefferson
