Here's mine, sub under the workbench, speakers on shelves. There are no elctronics, as it is all run off the main system's zone2. Well there is the old 13" TV which allows me to control everything, and select CD's from the garage.

Dont have a picture handy --

But when I had it running

It had all custom built speakers ---

Mains were 4, 4" full range drivers, ported enclosure

    Sub is 4 - 6.5" woofs, 10" PR, 125 watt amp

Ran with a Marantz Integrated and a Sansui Tuner
    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Mine is also run off my Zone 2 off my main rig. Currently I have two in wall speakers but may move my Monitor 7's out there.

My garage rig consists of a semi-vintage Realistic STA-870 receiver (that was my Mom's back in the 80's), a pair of Mirage M-290 that I rescued from Craigslist in non-working condition, and my original 1st Gen Playstation that is used for CD playback.

The Mirage had a crack in one of the crossover boards. I soldered a jumper across the crack and they not work fine (and actually sound very sweet). They were pretty beat up, but last weekend, I actually re-did the fabric on the grills and touched up a few areas with a Sharpie. Now they look pretty darn good. I am actually going to move these inside now and put them in my son's room, so I'll be looking for a new pair of garage speakers. Maybe a pair of large advents if I can find some cheap....

For about the past week it has looked like this.

    And it sounds surprisingly good.

^ that last pic looks kinda familiar...actually 2 and 3 do as well. LOL

I've enjoyed them. Nice garage. I'd have to move all the garage sale stuff off my Fisher console on the carport to add any pics here. I'll put it on the to do list.

You can only run a garage rig up here for less than a few months. Mostly summer, so I haven't gotten around to it. I am thinking of throwing a Lepai 2020A+ T-amp out there with some appropriately matched bookies and a portable player device. I have a set of Celestion Ditton DL 6s in the basement that aren't used much there, perhaps they'll be "moving" soon?

For the last 15 years a pair of huge E-V "Marquis", a cheesy 50wpc silver Pioneer receiver that I think is blown up, and unremarkable cd player and cassette deck.

    Tony,
I'm using the rig, but all the 70's decorations are packed up. Doesn't really go with a santa fe style joint...LOL. I gave the HPM-40's to my buddy that helped me move.

I'm going to build a bar area in the shop one day, likely a santa fe/cowboy/mexican themed sorta bar, once we get the place repaired from the storm damage. I'm still "cooking" some ideas on the theme, but I think it will be really cool. Think wine barrel tables, rustic wood floors, oil burning lamps....
