I am in the market for a Sub, the problem is, I am not sure which one to get? PSW 450 or PSW 404.
My room is fairly small 17'x15' I mainly watch movies on my system, but I am planning to upgrade to DVD audio.
I have heard the 404 is much cleaner and has a better frequency response than the 450.
Has anyone compared the two? what do you think?
Thanks!

I prefer the sound of the PSW404 to the 450. It is just smoother and not nearly the port noise. The 450 may go louder though, I'm not sure.

The 12" 450 i think might go lower but the 404 is more accurate i think, and tighter and not so boomy as the 450. for a sub i would get the 404, if you have a huge room get the 450 maybe

the 450 is an older model and may be cheeper to get. I like a 10" woofer myself. Get an old dual 10 instead of a 12

I do not mean to be negative. I have all Polk speakers and I live them, but I have a SVS sub. I think it is the best choice.

The best choice maybe, But cost wise the most exspensive.. among the top 10 high dollar subs. depends also if you want everything to match and don't want a 4 foot cylinder in the corner
: ) I would get one had the price been cheaper for an amped sub.
