Wow, hard to believe no one has either check this demo out, or has no impressions (thoughts, opinions). Oh well.... Due out this week, guess I'll just enjoy it by myself.

I played it earlier today and to be honest I was pretty underwhelmed. The visuals are decent but not as nice as I was expecting it, being a PS3 exclusive and all. The idea of using nectar is cool but at the same time kind of ridiculous you basically have to use it to see any enemies. Might be worth a rental.// Panasonic AE8000 // Pioneer SC-57 // Polk Audio RTi A9 // Polk Audio CSiA6 //

Yeah, free DL on PSN.

I was totally impressed with the graphics... much better looking, and running than 98 - 99% of shooters out (now) on any system other than a very high end PC. Reminds me a lot of Crysis running toward the higher end of detail settings. And of course it is just a demo, but for it to be a "console" game and looking that good, yes.... very impressed. But each to their own.

4.5 out of 10 at IGN.
The demo was garbage, doesn't look like the full game is much better.I should've listened way back in 2008, they told me I'd go broke... they were right -
I couldn't care less what IGN rates any game.
And as they say, one persons "garbage" is another persons "treasure". Not sure what it may be about the demo that makes it garbage, but it really doesn't matter either. -

I have to agree with IGN. I was not impressed with the demo. I'm not really into FPS's as much as other games so my opinion may be a bit biased. The only FPS's I've really enjoyed were COD2 and COD4.7.1 HOME THEATER:

I am a huge FPS fan but Haze, to me, was very generic.// Panasonic AE8000 // Pioneer SC-57 // Polk Audio RTi A9 // Polk Audio CSiA6 //

Demos are just that, "demos". I found that this one ran (performed) very well, with no drops in frame rate anywhere throughout. And the graphics are well above most FPS out, even with a drop in rez. Or at least on mine setup. But.... if it is that the rest of the game performs like some of the "reviews" have stated, then yeah.... it would not be worth buying. All FPS are "very generic." No matter what console. I found "Halo" (take your pick, 1, 2 or 3) to be crap, but thats just my opinion. Considering Halo 3 is considered an awesome game by most sheep, and it has stuttering framerates, slowdown, last gen graphics, and had a lo-rez fiasco. I am not trying to compare Haze to Halo, I just know that Halo 3 suffers from the same issues that reviewers canned Haze for.

No it doesn't. Really it's up to the end user. But this game was supposed to be the "Halo Killer" and Free Radical lost no sleep in hyping this game to the moon. In the end, we get a cookie cutter FPS game with little to no balls.
Nor do I tend to agree with reviews, but seeing how after playing the demo I was completely sick of the game, I have to agree with their score concerning the Final Retail version of the game.

As far as your above post, I find it odd you find Haze's visuals beautiful (when they really aren't) in comparison to the BULLSHOTS shown awhile ago - but then take a stab at Halo 3. It's not your display sir, as Haze is at 576p - confirmed by the developer. So it's a placebo effect really in comparison. Thing is, Halo 3 actually does some things in terms of lighting and enviromental that Haze doesn't.
Haze was canned because it outright sucked ****, not because it had a few problems.I should've listened way back in 2008, they told me I'd go broke... they were right
