I think someone stole Trey's old camera and used it to take that picture. Wow that's one of the worst pictures I've ever seen...

But if I was listing something I wanted to sell for $1500 (or any amount for that matter) for here and on Ebay, I think I'd make sure to take damn good pictures. They are worth a 1000 words! :D

$1500 will buy a pretty good digital camera. I'd try to float one before selling anything that expensive.

Thats a dangerous looking garage to be having easily snagged speaker grill material just standing there. Thats why the Cajuns worked some voodoo on those polks and no matter what camera you use on them ...you will get that halo around them ;)

It doesn't seem like a bad price assuming they are as "perfect" as he says. Have any sold recently for less than that?

This is at least the 2nd pair of SRS's that have come from the small town of Kenner Louisiana in the last couple of months.

Part of the description reads "I recently purchased a new SDA cable from Polk so they should be ready to go." I'm suspicious of the ad because I thought you could no longer buy pin/blade SDA cables from Polk.

You can still buy the blade/blade cable from Polk Audio. They are made in-house by Kim Jasper of Customer Service fame.

The seller never states whether they are 1.2 or 1.2 TL's but to me they look like they are 1.2's.

The ad states SDA SRS, which was a real life speaker and it used the blade/blade. The rest should be buyer beware anyways. The photo stinks, the ad stinks, etc etc.

If Lasareath actually spoke to the seller, then he should have every single detail needed to provide the forum with the information required to make an informed decision. You may want to PM or email him for additional information.

Good luck and this post will self-destruct in 10 seconds....9....8

Real life speaker? I'm not sure what you mean by that but at least you answered the question about whether it's a blade/blade or pin/blade.

    Real life speaker?

The SDA-SRS was the first "full size" SDA model. No numbers or letters. It used the old cable. The SDA-SRS 1.2 was a complete overhaul of the SRS, and the SDA-SRS 1.2TL added SL3000 tweeters and some minor changes. Those two used the pin/blade.

Thanks John. And since the 1.2 uses a pin/blade, how can the seller have "recently purchased a new SDA cable from Polk" when Polk doesn't even make that type of cable anymore? That what makes me suspicious of the ad.

    I don't think you read Doro's post...The "original" SDA SRS speakers used a blade/blade i/c

They are still available from Polk Audio

These are SDA-SRS; not SRS 1.2; the original SRS's used blade/blade which apparently are still avail from Polk.

I still don't get people like this who sell on e-bay. You expect a total stranger to drop $1500 on an item and use a (single) sh*tty picture like that. Maybe it's just me, but for anything I sell I include very detailed pics and description.

If I was selling those I'd make the extra effort to put up detailed photo's. I would never buy from someone like this unless I was local and could go and inspect them before bidding. /Rant/
