Center channel power requirements.

I'm just tossing out this question for feedback from you guy/gals. I currently have an NAD T773 avr powering my center & two surrounds (110w). The Krell KAV 250a (250w) handles my mains.
Would it benefit me to add more juice to the center by adding a mono block amp? As it stands now, I'm very happy with the sound but at the same time curious if adding a 250w or even higher mono block for the center would really add anything or just be a waste of money.
At this time I'm really not interested in picking up a 5 channel amp. If I do anything it'll be adding a mono block amp.

I'd use a McIntosh 501. I know you want Mickeys, good way to take the plunge!!

Just curious Phil, why not look at a 5CH amp. Less cables to deal with.Michael

I don't know, I've always been a two channel amp kind of guy & I'd let the avr handle the center & surrounds. That's why I'm curious if adding more power to the center would be of any benefit. I just like the combo of a two channel amp, mono amp for the center (if warranted) & let the avr handle the surrounds.
And after Hawkeye just got done breaking my balls about an MC501 for my center, that really rekindled my lust for a two channel Mac down the road. Then what would I do with the 5ch amp? I really don't like to have to sell things if I can avoid it."2 Channel & 11.2 HT "Two Channel:Magnepan LRSSchiit Audio Freya S - SS preConsonance Ref 50 - Tube preParasound HALO A21+ 2 channel ampBluesound NODE 2i streameriFi NEO iDSD DAC Oppo BDP-93KEF KC62 sub Home Theater:Full blown 11.2 set up. -
Well a monoblock certainly woke up my center speaker & woke up Willow's when I passed it on to him!
Which eventually made me want to amp ALL my speakers! If I knew then what I know now...Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2 -
I own a Proceed AMP5 (120 lbs) and it's just like having 5 monos. Individual power supply for each channel. 125wpc into 4 ohms / 250wpc into 8 ohms.Michael
