I just noticed on the my 1 month old Onkyo that the blue light around the volume knob is no longer luminated blue. The light must have blown and I purchased an extended 3 year warranty. Would you take it in for something that small or would you let it go for now.

Why wouldn't you get that fixed? It will definitely matter when it is time to sell.Modwright SWL 9.0 SE (6Sons Audio Thunderbird PC with Oyaide 004 terminations)

Make sure you didn't hit the dimmer button on the remote (or on the front panel). Cycle through it a couple times and see if it comes back on.See profile for rigs. Nothing else here.

Pure audio doesn't affect the blue ring light, only the main display. I suspect he hit the dimmer button once, which turns off the blue ring, but leaves the display the same brightness.See profile for rigs. Nothing else here.
