Group for Canadians

When I was looking for my speakers I found it hard to get any good deals in Canada. Come to think of it, I had trouble even finding the speakers I wanted. I think a group for Canadians where we can let each other know of any deals that pop up would be useful, seeing as we usually don't get the same deals as the US of A.

Join up if you’re Canadian, eh! :D

Just curious...where did you get your Onkyo as that is an item that we get soaked on up here.

The only place I could find it in Winnipeg was at Visions, for $1500! So I found one on e-bay and only had to pay $625 + shipping. The only thing I was worried about was the fact that I didn’t get a warranty with it, but it hasn’t given me any trouble yet (I probably just jinxed it). It’s a great receiver.

I hate Visions they put Polks on sale for the canadian msrp and call it a good deal. My buddy was going to buy a new psw125 so I showed him the price on cruthfieldcanada.com. Vision wanted $479 compared to crutchfields $399 delivered to his door. I'll keep my eye out for any deals here in AB. and let you know what I find.

Good little group. It should make it easier to get gatherings together too. I posted a brief message about that in the group already. Is only the creator of the group allowed to invite? I could not find an option to invite members.

I too saw that Visions sale crap at MSRP for LSi's. When I was searching I couldn't find LSi's lower than msrp anywhere in Canada. I ended up getting them directly from polk with an employee discount for an amazing price, otherwise I would have been SOL. It's not really much wonder why they don't sell that well up here. A great speaker at that price but there is a lot more competition when you're planning on spending more than a grand.

Would I love to host one in Yellowknife. Too bad it is so expensive to get here.

I have the luxury of living 40 minutes away from the border and a store that accepts parcels for anybody. Their primary business is housing a warehouse of items we buy from the states and pick up ourselves. Usually ends up being way cheaper than shipping to Canada and allows the use of Amazon.com! :)

    Anywho, sign me up. :D
