I was looking at some of the new features we have since the last forum update, checking out the friends/groups options under networking, etc.

I'm not exactly sure how the group thing works or exactly how useful it will be and for what specific applications, but I started a new group for poor college students.

Might be a good place for all of those who qualify to ask and answer questions more specific to that environment and income level.

Seems to me, at least at first, that a thread with the same title would serve the same purpose just as well. But oh well, we'll see how it turns out.

So, if you're a poor college student, go join my group!

I'm not sure how the simplest way to do it is, but here's one way:

    1. Go to your user CP by clicking on User CP along the top of the page.
    2. Click on Social Groups along the left side of the screen.
    3. Right now there's only one listed, so it's not hard to find.

I'm not sure what you'll see as I'm already a member since I created the group. However, there should be some sort of button to click to join. If not, click on the group name. That might take you to a page where you can join the group.

When I was in university the thought of a stereo in my room was a dream. That's what I call poor. :D
