I Have Rti4 for fronts, Csi3 for center, and junk Pioneers for Side Rear, even mork junk RCA dual swivel cube speakers for back rear. Big brother is giving me $600 and I thought now would be a good time to finish Polking up my system. I have a Velodyne 10" sub also. I am running with Yamaha RX-V1400. I saw the deal at Crutchfield. (Buy $499 worth of HOME audio speakers, get free Atrium 45s in white) First of all, I wanted to get the Fxi model with the 5.25 woofer, but it's not enough money to get the Atriums. I figured they would be good to put for my Back Rears. My receiver puts out 110 watts per channel, and they aren't rated for that much juice. So my question is would it be worth it to step up to the FxiA6 and get the free Atriums, or should I get the FxiA4 for less money and buy a R series bookshelf for the backs? And are the Atriums really voice-matched with the Rti and Csi series? First post. I think.

My opinion is that it's not nearly as important to match the surrounds, especially the back surround. That being said, you could very well find Fxi3, Rti4, and Atrium 45 used for about the price you'd have to pay to get free Atriums from Crutchfield. I think you'd have a better HT going that route and it would probably cost less than $500.

    Rti4 from Leroyjr1 for $175
Atrium 45 from Circuit City $180 (You can find them for less though)
That leaves $145 for Fxi3...should be able to find them for close to that price.

    Here's another pair of usd Rti4: http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67745

You can definitely get the Atriums for about a bill, keep an eye on Amazon and Fry's. Going the used route will definitely give you the bang for the buck. The 4's for $150 and Fxi3's from Polk on Ebay for about the same. That should leave you about $200 for wires,IC's,etc. You'll be in great shape.

I only need FXI and Atrium 45. Do you guys run 9.1 or something? I have the RTI4s front CSI3, just need rear back and rear side. I only run 7.1. Got Yamaha RXV-1400.

The bold parts made me think you were getting back surrounds also. Are you wanting to use the Atriums as surround back speakers?

Yes on both. I want fxi for side rear and Atrium 45 for Back REAR. I already have RTI4 so I don't need leroys. RTI4 is too big for a back rear in my system. I think I'll try th ATRIUMS.
