Fair comparison, right?:) Let me explain: I brought my Energy C-3's home from the office rig today and had to check 'em out in the main setup. So I unplugged the VR4jr's and gave the Energy's a go. These things are doing the upstream gear proud! Of course they're not at the same level as the Vr4jr's, but they sure are impressive for the $150 I paid (or was it $125?).

I think I'll be listening to the Energy's for a while. I've only listened to a couple albums, but it seems I don't concentrate on the sound as much and instead listen to the music. Make sense?

This kind of stuff is one of the things that makes this hobby so fun.

Cool. Enjoy our new speaks. VR4 Jrs are very hard to beat until you start spending lots of cash. That's a difficult comparison.:)

I have a pair of C-3's on the patio rig, they're pretty darn impressive on the big rig; very, very listenable and easy going. Quite respectable bass too, given their small size. I would have a tough time choosing between them and the Lsi9.
