I have a Outlaw 990 pre-pro fs in perfect condition,Im the original owner with box,manuel,2 remotes & mic.I will also throw in a Monoprice hdmi switcher,2 ins one out & 2 dvi to hdmi adapters,I want 525.00 delivered in the 48. thanks.
My HT set-up Panasonic front proj, 120 in ws screen, ATI amp,Integra 9.8 pre-pro, 2 Polk rti150, cp 1000, 4 fx 1000, Pioneer blu-ray 2 SVS sub pb 12-ultra 2, & Paragon popcorn popper. ps 3 Coaster leather HT recliners.

    Wow, This is a great deal! I have a 990 and it's the cat's pajama's for HT. It has RCA & balanced outs, 2 zone capability (with separate, simple zone 2 remote), etc etc etc.

    Does it run cool to the touch? My 950 did. I plan to use a seperate 2 channel pre (a passive actually) later and use it with only movies.

    Pm sent Veromclan,I never noticed it running hot.

    it shouldn't run hot or even warm.. it has no amps in it. ;)

    True. Funny thing is that my 950 ran "warmer" than my Butler hybrid amp or my PS Audio class D. I love cold running amps. :) My cd player runs warmer.

    Runs cool. No problems. Do the firmware upgrade if it has not been done. It can be a PIA, but worth it. Are you going to run balanced?

    Not running balanced. My Butler is not balanced. MY Trio amp is, but it is designed to run balanced even with RCA's. I guess it is a waste of real estate for my use, but oh well.

    You should be pleased with it. Overall I am pleased with mine. The price is almost half what I payed. Great dual duty Pre. I would like to hear your comments on it if you ever do 2 channel with it. I'm not familiar with your present pre, but the 990 gets good reviews as 2 channel too.

    I currently use a Cary Cinema 6, which has been argued as one of the best performing pre/pros for 2 channel under $6K. It is incredible for 2 channel. I am changing up my system and hope the 990 approaches for 2 channel as well. I will be selling the Cary soon.

    I have always liked the flexability of a 2 channel pre w/ht bypass. That is what I did with my old Krell and Outlaw 950. I have since sold both. While it would be nice to be satisified with a pre/pro to do both, if the 990 does not achieve that, I will add the 2 channel pre again. The top of my list now is the Placette Remote Volume Control w/ht bypass. It is passive and looks like a winner.
