I've decided to let go of my ELP. Why? Well, I just have a lot of costs coming up soon (college), and I'd be just as happy with my Parasound preamp (assuming I even take it with me).

I bought this unit from unc2701, it works just fine. Three inputs, one output, and the typical on/off and mute/unmute switches on the front.

I'm not 100% sure without pulling them out again, but if memory serves I have three sets of Jan Phillips 6922 tubes and then a spare.

Unfortunately the front fascia is more scratched up than either you or I would like. Here's an album of pictures of it I have on my photobucket account.

    Folks,, if you on the fence regarding tubes,, this is a no-brainer,,400 dollars is a very good deal,,if he moves this to A'gon,it won't last a day at this price,,so,,pull the trigger on this one,,as they don't come up that often anymore. Good luck with the sale ,,Al.

    To be perfectly honest, I don't know. It had a few pretty nasty scratches when I got it. Then I set it on my shelf and left it alone. So, I'm inclined to think it had all (at least most) of the scratches when I got it, and I didn't really care so I didn't look at it closely until now.

    However, I very well may have put a few on there. Can't say as I haven't put any on there, but I really haven't handled it much at all since I've had it, so I wouldn't think I have.

    What happened was the cat saw his reflection in it and pounced. Not cool. The stuff on the volume knob will polish right out- it's mostly that scratch to the left of "Power" that's bad.

    FWIW, you could get a totally new, custom, front panel from here:

    Yep,, just got one back from Gary last November,,very quick turn around time.

    Ok, I'm dropping the price to $375 shipped. You can either feel better about the condition of it because of the price drop or drop the extra coinage on a new front fascia, whichever suits your fancy.

    But don't make me take it to audiogon. I don't think we should be letting ELP's out of the family.
