wireless n network & hard drive questions

I was thinking of upgrading my network to the new N stuff and was wondering if anyone had an experiences with it. I currently have a G router, but the signal is pretty weak at parts of the house (it's a linksys SRK that is supposed to have good range). I have to have it nailed to a wall in a specific part of the house just to get a signal everywhere I need it and it would be nice to be able to put where it won't poke you in the eye.
Mainly I need to add a new hard disk to my computer to share music and pictures (I only have 120G in my machine now), and I was thinking of using a USB drive attached to an N router for storing that stuff. (I'm having a wedding at my house and we are doing our own music [not my wedding, I'm already 14yrs into that as of yesterday]), so I'm going to start loading all the disk I can on to a computer and use my media server (A PS3 or my D-link). I have an older dell dimension 8250 and want to put in 500g. So I can either add an EIDE, an SATA with a new card or an external on a new router.
Any comments or suggestions would be well appreciated.

Hello
I've been using a Belkin Pre-n for a few years now, I have one here in our trailer house on the farm and another one over in the old farm house. I swear by them and recommend them to everybody but they rarely take my advice. They always go with something else.
Belkin doesn't make them anymore but they do come up on ebay once in awhile....
Heres a combo pack that has the router and card, once again I HIGHLY recommend it.....

Apple makes nice N routers which you can plug an external printer or hard drive into. They work with PCs as well and are very sleek looking. I think I'll be getting one of those for my condo next year. Right now I'm in a dorm room w/o wireless so I'm always wired. ****.
