Newto the Forum - Have a couple of questions...

New to the forum and have a few questions about a system I am trying to set-up. My uncle, who has had numerous polk speakers over the years, directed me to the forum as he does not have familiarity with home theater set-ups.
I want to set-up a home theater and have already bought a Polk DSW PRO 500, a pair of FXI A4's, and plan on buying an Onkyo TX-SR705 to power it.
I am unsure as to what main speakers, and center speaker to purchase. I was thinking about a pair of RTI 10's or RTI A7's, and either of the CSI5, the CSI A4, or the A6 as the center.
I think I may need an additional amp to power this thing.
Any thoughts from those with more experience would be greatly appreciated.

RTiA7 & CSiA4. You won't need an additional amplifier but you certainly have that option.
Your Uncle is a wise manCTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
The general consensus for HT is to go with the best center as you can get since it is the most important speaker in HT. That would be either the 5 or the A6. Keep in mind that these speakers are physically much larger than the A4 so make sure you can fit it.
You've got a good receiver spec'ed that will allow for external amplification if you find it can't drive the A7's adequately enough. It should be alright by itself unless you have a very large room or like to turn the volume up to ear bleeding levels. -
If you decide to go with the 10's for your mains, you might find the external amp usefull (but not required). Your running something similiar to my HT setup. I did add an amp to the mix (Class T tripath) and prefered the sound of the 10's running of a seperate. I later added an Emotiva LPA-1.
I agree with the above posts about the center. Get the best one you can afford. It will save you upgrade $'s later.
Sounds like you have made a good start towards something I think you will enjoy.
