new polkie
hello. im 1 of the new guys. just replaced my entire HT setup, except for my 2 rears (6& 7).
i had a boston acoustic 8000 series (HT in a box) that came with a 65 watt powered sub. that set was about 7 years old. for my 6th and 7th were a pair of 13 year old sonys that came with an old desktop 5 disc changer. yeah it was rough but i made good with what i had. i have now upgraded. my fronts are a pair of rm50ts, vm20 center, rm8s for surrounds, and a dsw600pro woofer. i will be lookin to replace my rears soon but have no plans as of yet, i did however move my old boston acoustic fronts to the rear to replace the big nasty old sonys that were there. so theres my story. any advice or comments are welcome.

Welcome to Club Polk.
I don't have any experience with the line of speakers you have chosen. Hopefully someone who has will chime in.
BenPlease. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

Let me welcome you too.
I don't have any experiance with your speakers either but I can chime in on on the Audyssey. This a is a routine to set the balance levels of all the speakers in your HT setup. Most new AVR's (that polk owners are buying) come with an Audyssey setup routine. More information for your reading pleasure can be found at Audyssey.com. There are various flavors that Audyssey offers. Take a look at the Audyssey enabled products page. You'll find stuff labeled 2EQ, Multi EQ, MultiEQ XT, Dynamic EQ. Each routine is different.
Hope that helps,
