Rta 8tl

I picked up a pair of RTA 8TL's the other day in real nice condition. They are a very decent speaker. I set them up in my living room just for S&G and powered them with the RS deal of the century amp and they sound pretty good. Very affordable audio.

I have never heard a pair of Monitor 7's, but how do these speakers compare?

They are a very good speaker. I wouldn't still be using mine for over 18yrs if they were bad!

    BTW nice fireplace!

Thanks Cathy. They actually match our floor pretty well. I am sorry to report that I only have @ 25 wpc going to them at best. They do sound good for what I have powering them.

They respond very well to tubes and while they aren't MON7's, they sound very nice. I made fun of them for a good while until I was able to spend some serious time with a pair. There's nothing RTA about them but its a fun loudspeaker.

It looks like you have some feet on them but they usually need some backtilt of around 1-2"....to get those tweeters more inline with a human head.

    Mark,

What tube amp did you power them with? I do still want to hear a pair of M7's.

Yes, sounds familiar. They are now on the West Coast. I am looking for a integrated tube amp. Why I don't know. I guess because I don't have one.
