And on to the big TV!
I use to have my laptop and stuff on a desk in my closet -- now I am running it through my TV and the 2 ch rig. I am rockin! Oh yeah!

How much for the computer speakers? I want the sub too (I had a part in them both, seems only fair).
Cheers,

I don't get it, you rewired your laptop and gave up the Punany ?
IMHO you should have started two threads here"If the global crisis continues, by the end of the year Only two Banks will be operational, the Blood Bank and the Sperm Bank. Then these 2 banks will merge and it will be called 'The Bloody **** Bank'" -

Adding the computer and all the devices I have hooked up to it added about 10 more wires - crazy!- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Bet that is pretty nice, man!
What happened to the nice cabinet you made for your gear??
Oh, and...anybody else notice what that last 'update' to the forum was? Pretty nifty. I think I like it.George Grand wrote: »

Looks good.
If you can, I would try moving the mains towards you a little more. Getting them a little further away from your TV and gear should help improve imaging."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. Jewcraiyziemon! Glad you are out of the closet.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

You still have those damned transformers...
Nice setup, I'm jealous, but not too jealous, I'm enjoying my SDAs right now -
Back when I had my big ol cabinet - they sounded better closer to me. When I freed up all that room around them, it really let those tweets breathe and brought out some harshness. So using the tube output on the CDP and pushing them farther back into the room sounds best with that arrangement.
Thanks for the comments!- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Trey, that's how I have ended up placing/hooking up mine for the best sound as well. Do you have a 50Hz spike coming from the Taylos in your room?~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

I havnt ran a graph --
But it seems very balanced...
The bass response of the Taylos are just surreal - I am finding it hard to justify a subwoofer with my current arrangement and usage. They rock hard... for sure.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Could you please do me a favor and run one when you get the time? I'm getting a pretty significant 50Hz spike.
No hurry.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -
Are you using any panels --
They absorb alot in that freq range- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
At 50 Hz? Hmmm, I have read otherwise. To answer your question, no. I have no panels.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

I'm not sure if panels will go that low either, that's more like column type bass trap territory."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche
