Very Cool. I stood next to the one with the white spagetti exhaust coming out of the top of the cylinder head at Indy when they were starting it for the historical parade. It was the loudest thing I have ever heard but it also sounded beautiful. It was cool to watch the slides in the intake trumpets move when they would rev the engine.

Those are called 180 degree headers. IMO, they're the most efficient header design, but almost impossible to install on most cars, especially modern day cars due to the lack of space. They also do add to the wicked exhaust tone. :D I was quoted $2500 for a set on my vette...ouch.

    Face,

On that V12 the intake is on the outside of the head and the headers are on the inside opposite of the conventional design.

It was probably a way to get the center of gravity more in the center or the intakes in to a more preferable area. I may have just been a more efficient way of routing the exhaust headers in 4 groups of 3's.

All that I know is that it was loud, wicked and beautiful sounding all at the same time.

I can't for the life of me figure out how you could get a set of headers like that to work on a Corvette.

    That's all. I just don't understand.
