Hey all.
I just got another pair of SDA's, and I just have too many speakers, so I am selling one of my pairs of CRS+. These are all original blade/blade version in black. The cabinets are straight (no chips), but there is some 'rub' marks on the black finish (see pictures), down to the wood, looks like it happened during shipping on one speaker.
The original stands are included for the $300 price, buyer pays actual shipping. This seems to be about the going rate for these speakers, without the stands, but I want a Polkie to have these and don't want to go the ebay route.

Can this version "blade/blade" be modded to 4.1 ???

My 'official' response would have to be "no". The 4.1TL mod white paper from Polk only shows the pin/blade crossover setup.
Unofficially, I updated the crossovers in my other pair of CRS+ (also blade/blade) and since the 4.1TL mod only affects the tweeter circuit, I went ahead and added the 5.6 uf cap and installed the RDO-198's and the speakers sounded great. I personally didn't think the mod sounded any better than the original mod with Solen caps and RDO-194's, so I pulled the 198's, put them in some other speakers and have listened to the CRS's that way for over a year now.
The only downfall to modding these blade/blade CRS+'s is the cost.... there is a pair of 300uf caps on the midbass circuit, which limits your capacitors to Solen, and drives the price through the roof. If you only mod the tweeter circuit and install the RDO-194's, you can remove the silver mica bypass capacitors, and have a very nice sounding pair of CRS+.
The only thing I don't recommend is installing the RDO-194's without changing out the capacitors on the tweeter circuit, because several Polkies including myself noticed a very setback nature to the vocals.SDA SRS 2.3 -
Jump on these with the stands. My only regret with my CRS+ is they are finished in wood, because the black looks SWEET!
