Hey, I need some advice on my choices!

I was thinking of pairing 2x 12" Pioneer Premier's (1,000 RMSx 2) with a Pioneer Premier Amp (2,000 @ 1 ohm) or Hifonics BXi 2006D (2,000 RMS @ 1 ohm). I was thinking about getting a 5 - 6 Farad Capacitor, with 0-2 gauge wiring kit ( would this kit be enough for just the amp or do the kits generally come with wires to the subwoofers?) I wanted to also know which would be better Ported, sealed, bandpass (i heard ported is the way to go with the right size and dimensions)
Is there anything that im missing? and would these subs truely be what im looking for?( i want to get a very powerful bass and hopeing to set car alarms off)
The car i want to put them in
Mazda Protege
Price range - $1,000 - $1,500
Open to other suggestions!
Would i need tweeters to hear anything besides bass? or will speakers with an amp be enough to hear music and blast subs?

with that much bass, ur gonna need some good components with good clean power to them. Yeah those should be plenty loud... i would rather put 2 alpine type Rs with 1000w into each though... thats just me. for an encloser.... go vented and big if u want LOUDNESS2013 Toyota Prius

Ported is the way to go if you want the most noise. If you want the best sound, use a sealed box.
If youre listening to the type of music that is just monster bass sine bombs with a high hat tapping, then whatever speakers youre using now would be fine. If youre actually wanting to listen to music and care how it sounds then youll need a pretty stout amp and good quality components.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

oh okay, But has anyone ever heard these subs? oh does anyone know if these are a good choice?
And amp....How long does the average amp last? years? decades? Months? Taking into consideration that it will not be abused... -
Amps last forever so long as theyre taken care of. I still have a Coustic Power Logic 160A from 1989 that still works like a champ.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

anyone?

Skip the Hifonics amp - Pioneer makes solid subs - forget about the capacitor - use a sealed box for best SQ.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

why no cap?

caps introduce noise into the system from my experience, also man i'm going to run 2 Polk pa 1200.1 mono blocks, powering a pair of polk SR 124dvc subs, I'm also going to run Alpine 9887 hu and alpine h701 processor and c701 remote, plus a polk pa 500.1 4 channel amp, and led kits I'm not running any caps you really don't need them. I will be running a high output alternator, and a good strong batterytyler birch
