Normally I don't ask these kind of questions because I can do the research on my own and usually the purchase is for myself.
My uncle borrowed a friends Taylor Made driver last year for a round of golf and felt it was the best driver he ever used. Since it was the end of the season he thought he'd wait until this year to get one for himself.
Well that particular club is discontinued and can either be bought on e-bay or perhaps a golf discounters store.
Since he is very naive on the whole internet purchasing process he's asked me to try and locate either a new one at a decent price or a nice used one. I want to use e-bay as a last resort because I don't want to be the one in the middle if something goes wrong. He's also paranoid to use his credit card on the internet.
I've done a fairly quick google search. What I'm looking for are some links to reputable discount/overstock golf stores so he can either call them and place the order or I can order it from them online for him.
Taylor Made R7 460; right handed; men's driver; stiff shaft; 10.5 degree loft.
Thanks

I've had nothing but good results shopping the bigger sellers on ebay.

Forget ebay. Too much counterfeit golf stuff there. The Golf Warehouse has exactly what you need. At $200, not a bad deal....

Rock Bottom Golf occasionally has some good deals. Looks like they have the R7 DRAW driver for $150, but only in regular flex.2007 Club Polk Football Pool Champ

He's using my TM R580XD today. He told my bro he wanted to try it out. If he's still hung up on the R7 then I would go ebay,GolfWarehouse,Dick's and Golfclubexchange.com. I've never had a problem at any of these places. I don't think I'll ever buy a club locally again. I can see how your Uncle could be that way though. No worries, just him.

What I used to do during my golf shopping days, included multiple trips to the local Golf Smith and PGA Superstores. I normally would go to the used equipment section, and chances are you will find a lot of Taylor Made clubs, many are in very good condition. The prices are substantially lower then brand new.
