best sub for 5jr+ ser.2

I was wondering what would be a good sub to use with a pair of monitor 5jr+ series 2 speakers. My listening space is small so I just want good sound and not just a lot of "boom".

    that is not a lot of bux, but i dig where you are coming from.

    if it were my money, i would probably be looking at something like this (below). right at the high-end of your budget.

    this is NOT, however, a recommendation, as i have never listened to one. the dayton stuff seems to be pretty well regarded for the money, though.

    you should probably consider the used market as well. i have a little definitive sub that kicks for music with speakers like your 5jrs. the 8" driver keeps things tight, though obviously at the expense of LFE. i have seen these on the 'bay for $100 and less. well worth that. kicks in a smaller room, and even tries really hard in a large room.
