Speaker Wire Along Baseboards?

I am going to have to run my wire along the baseboards in my new bedroom setup. How is that normally done? More towards the bottom or the top? Is it ok to just staple it on there or do they sell something to help conceal it?

Panduit hides it and even looks like an extension of the baseboard if choose the right style. here's some Panduit "raceway" styles/sizes:

A word of WARNING: The sticky-back adhesive is very, very strong--it will take the top layer of your drywall with it should you ever want to remove it. I'd recommend just tack nailing it to the wall if you think you may want to remove it later.

This stuff is a plastic/nylon material and can be easily cut with a hacksaw/coping saw, and is paintable.

In the past I have always just pushed the wire in the gap under the baseboard since the carpet has some give (depending on wire size of course). It's always been a no-cost option that I like.

I run this under my baseboard. When I'm feeling better, I plan on removing the baseboard cover and running it behind.
