I'm putting together four pretty cool Powerpoint presentations and I wanna have some pics with movement in them. I don't know much about graphics and this will be my first "advanced" PPT presentation. I'd like to find pictures like flowing water, dandcers dancing, singers singing, butterflies flying, birds chirping, volcanoes erupting, lions roaring, etc. Where do I find them? Are there any particular key words to use for a google search? Do I need to purchase software to get these kinds of pics?

Thanks a bunch.

Those are called .... videos :D

I know .gif files can be animated pics, but I think you're limited to 256 colors, which is going to suck for pretty much everything you listed above. If picture quality isn't an issue for you, then just search google for animated gif and you'll find billions of pictures.

If you're looking for something a bit more realistic, then you may want to look at embedding a video file in your presentation and search for videos of what you want.

I don't believe there's an image format that will give you a picture with animation at a full decent resolution. If there is someone will chime in I'm sure.

    OK, thanks.

Let's say I only want a few seconds of a video. How do I extract only a portion of a downloaded video?

I also want high quality videos. Most of the youtube stuff and other videos on the 'net are fairly low resolution. Any other options?
