Regarding high output alternator...

So I finally bought a 180amp/90amp idle Iraqqi (sp?) alternator. This is going to be replacing my stock 80 amp alternator.
Should I run a 4ga wire from the positive output of the alternator to the positive terminal of the battery? Is there a specific way to do this? Is it necessary?
I don't want to have to fix things, so any info will be very helpful.

You should have at least 4 awg, yes. Bigger is always better. You should also replace your battery to ground and chassis to ground with 4awg+ as well.
