I heard this story this morning and haven't been able to get it out my head.
One of the reasons I could NEVER be a cop, I wouldn't last 1/2 a shift.

    I did 4 months of superior court grand jury a few yrs ago. When I saw stuff like that, and I did, it made me not want to send them through the proper judicial process.
    My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

    It's amazing that a 4 mo. old could withstand that type of punishment and still be alive. I wonder what kind of mental trauma this child will carry over into adulthood. It also always amazes me when both parents are involved in something like this. It's bad enough that one person could be capable, but two of them together? And it seems to happen all the time. They ought to tie them both to a tree in the Everglades and let the crocs eat them alive.

    I'm actually going to reserve judgement until we know more. This child was 2 mos old, not the 4 months it is know, when removed from the home. Infants bones, especially the skull are normally amazingly resilient at this young of an age, leading me to question whether there is an underlying medical condition which predisposes the child to brittle bones.

    That said, I'm an ER nurse, and believe there is a special place in hell for anyone that would willingly inflict such suffering on a defenseless child, should that be what this turns out to be.
