Anybody heard any good albums by this gal? Apparently she plays jazz and her voice and recordings are great. I've never heard of her, anybody have a good album by her to recommend? Anybody even heard of her?

Jill has a beautiful voice. I just don't care for the style of music. Check out her "Collaborations" CD for a couple of jazz cuts where her talent truly shines, IMO.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

What planet do you live on again?
I would start with "Who is Jill Scott...Volume 1" and go from there. I agree with Early, for some reason, as her collaborations show more versatility when amongst other artists.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -

Yep. I never had any interest in Sarah's type of music...until recently. As I get older and more into this hobby, my music preferences are changing dramatically. Now I own a couple of country CDs.:eek:HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

Jill Scott.......
Would you consider the bass heavy on the recordings [JS]? Any other suggestions?
Early, call me sometime. I've got many of her [SMcG] albums. What do you want to know?~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -

Will do, although I'm good on Sarah. I have two of her CDs, and that's enough.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub
